Error "No Topics Found" when searching for offline help using help and support

Method 1

This may happen if the registry keys related to help and support are corrupt.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Back up the registry

a)   Click on Start, type regedit.exe in the Search field, and press Enter.

b)   Provide consent to User Account Control if prompted.

c)    In the left hand navigation pane, expand each registry key until you are at  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Assistance\Client\1.0\Namespaces\OEM\en-US\Topics

d)   Delete the "BCRM_Bluetooth_Help" string value (REG_SZ).

e)   Close the Registry Editor and re-launch Windows Help and Support.

Method 2

If the above step fails then I would suggest that you run SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.

The scan may take some time, so be patient. Windows will repair any corrupted or missing files that it finds. If information from the installation CD is needed to repair the problem, you may be prompted to insert your Windows Vista installation disk.
