windows 7 network and sharing center - unable to open the "connect to a network" window

When i click "connect to a network" in the network and sharing center nothing happens. a new window doesnt pop up or anything. I also cant open the "connect or disconnect" link where it says view your active networks, also in network and sharing center. Also when i click "set up a new connection or network", select "connect to the internet", then select "no, create a new connection" and select "wireless", the window closes and nothing else opens, i cant seem to find any way to view a list of my available wireless connections as a window never opens no matter what i try. please help, thank you
I would also like to mentions that i did not always have this problem and that the wireless connections i already had saved, i am still able to connect to whenever i am in range. thanks

Hi there, I know this is a little late but I'm just now having this same issue. Did you perhaps find a solution? None of the solutions posted by Sandeep addressed this specific problem.

I, too, am now having this exact problem.  I've had it for a while but it didn't matter until my home network changed and I was no longer able to connect automatically.  None of the aforementioned buttons do anything and I'm stuck.  Can anyone help?
