One Note 2010 Typing on Lines

No, I'm afraid not.  The lines are there to guide folks using ink, not really for typing on. 

I suppose, if you fiddled enough, you could select the really narrow lines and then play with the paragraph spacing and you might be able to get it to work.

As Ben said the lines are there to support handwriting. Or do you see any lines in standard word processing SW like Word ?

If you are disturbed by the lines: you can suppress them.

If I'm not inking on a page I actually just turn the lines off.  I even added that button to the QAT so I can do it easily with keyboard shortcut or quick mouse click.

And why does that mean that I should not see them in ON? 

What if I have a mix of handwriting and typed letters? It would not have hurt if what is typed could appear on the lines. 

I am not disturbed by the lines. If I was, why would I want the lines? I don't get it. 

• If you use only the keyboard you don't need lines (as in Word): suppress them
• If you use only handwriting: use the lines
• If you mix keyboard and handwriting, the requirements for the line distance contradict each other if you want lines for both: a rather great distance for handwriting but a rather small distance for typing. So my conclusion was/is: use the lines for handwriting or suppress them

I think with the college ruled lines, you can use a font of 19.5 to match pretty much exactly with the rule lines, provided you started within the barriers.  Unfortunately, default font does not allow decimals, so I use 20 and don't write more than 3 or so typed lines at a time.

Alternately, you can specify paragraph spacing to line up the text that way, but I don't know of a way to do this automatically without creating a template or something.  It would be really neat if the default font and formatting options for One Note were expanded.
