I just can't believe this! Bungie isn't going to take credit for their own freaking Title Update...
As many of you know, a Title Update is basically a gigantic patch that alters core gameplay mechanics and fixes major bugs as well as simple housekeeping (Improving matchmaking, connectivity, smoothness, etc.) Awhile back Urk confirmed on another message board that they've been working on a Title Update this whole time.
I am extremely surprised that Bungie is simultaneously handing all control over to 343i AND giving them a freaking Title Update with a bow on top. I mean honestly, 343i is by far the luckiest company in gaming right now.
They get handed one of the biggest franchises of all time with a hugely engrossing story and universe, along with some of the best core gameplay out there. They literally have to do almost nothing except get a good story for the new trilogy.
Not only that, but a game that Bungie is no longer going to be involved with is getting a Title Update from them. They aren't going to make any money from this. Hardly anyone is going to know that Bungie is the one who made it. They're just giving it to us gamers solely for the reason that they love what they do and they love their community, regardless of how many trolls frequent their forums.
All in all, I'm incredibly satisfied.
Sad to say, this Fall is going to be VERY busy for me, so between work/school/life in general, and the plethora of new amazing games coming out, I may not have that much time for Halo. I really love the game, but I have to spread my time evenly! If this comes out in the next 2-3 weeks, I'd play nothing but Halo for the rest of the summer until Dead Island comes out (First game out of the dozen or so I want to get my hands on).
Very pleased with Bungie and I'll support them up until I stop gaming for good!
