"You Can't Use A Credit Card To Purchase This Item".....

I just got the Paypal update and went to buy 500 MS Points. After confirming the purchase, I get an error similar to the following:

"You can't use a credit card to purchase this item. Use Microsoft Points or try again later."

I'm not trying to use a damn credit card! I'm trying to buy MS Points with my linked Paypal account. How do I fix this bullcrap and why does everything always get released broken?

 

 

 

 

Paypal is treated as a Credit Card on the system. The main thing to focus on with this message is you need to use MS points.

So use Microsoft points to buy Microsoft points? That makes a lot of sense....

Oh, my apologies, I missed that part. I thought you were just talking about making a content purchase. Have you tried to remove the Paypal account and add it back again?

I'm having the same error (Netherlands), want to buy points, it tells me that I cannot use a creditcard.

I would try this but I've bought some points from another site. I'll give it a try in a couple of weeks when I go to buy some more points.

I've seen a couple different replies, are users experiencing this with Paypal or credit cards? Can users who have the ability please test both.
