Partial Nudity?????

Are you kidding me with this?  This game gets a rating for "partial nudity"?   Is this where we are now in this pathetically ultra-religious country, that women being dressed in what can basically be seen on any beach in the country is considered "partial nudity"?

Truly pathetic....

Really?

It gets the partial nudity rating because it basically had nude clones in tubes and one of Mileena's costumes is basically naked with bandages covering strategic places. So instead of ranting on looking like someone who doesn't know what they are talking about how about looking things up or getting some information before you speak so you know what you are talking about so you don't look like a clueless person or some ranting fool.

Its the mileena costume at the end of the challenge tower, she is basically wearing close to nothing but toilet paper. Also parts of the b-r-e-a-st- are exposed when the the female characters are damaged in combat.

Bingo.  WBIE is simply being cautious.  Since they stated clearly on the package that the game contains "partial nudity," anyone who tries to sue them won't be able to have their case hold up as a "warning" is clearly displayed for all to see.

Sad that WBIE would need to protect itself from the possibility of petty law suits like that, but better safe than sorry.

Actually it really probably has nothing to do with WBIE placing it so they don't get in trouble. They follow the ESRB rulings and place it because the ESRB tells them to. Simple as that.

Aye, there's that to.  If the ESRB considered the game to have such partial nudity and wanted the warning on there, WBIE has to put it on.

Why full-nudity games aren't on the market. :(

Because that would require an Adults Only rated as opposed to a Mature rating, which would have a large impact on distribution and sales.

Well, no-one did/have tried that yet, and AO rated games/entertainment is already on PC long enough like Lula. "Large impact on distribution and sales."? C'mon did you really meant to say that? Don't you think that topless DoA would in fact sell better, and as I can recall I didn't saw a AO rating on Dante's Inferno for full nude ***? http://games.slashdot.org/story/06/01/17/1840202/games-industry-and-gamers-getting-older

Yes, it has been tried.  Duke Nukem Forever, for example, had nudity in both the PC versions and consoles.  As I recall, not just the game but also it's nudity and immature tone on sexuality was heavily criticised.

And yes, I did mean to write that because it's true.  It would still sell, of course, the distribution issues would come into play with retailers.  Some retailers may not carry AO rated games, giving less access to customers to buy it.

Besides, it's a video game.  Do you really need to see polygons for nudity?
