Game that buy from others region, can it be played?

Hi, I am Xbox 360 user in Singapore, and my Xbox 360 I bought in Singapore .if I will to buy a game from united state , am I able to play it ?

Not necessarily.  Some video game discs are set up for different regions and cannot be played on consoles from different regions.  For instance, North America is set up for the NTSC system and Europe and Asia (I believe) are set up on the PAL system.  This means that consoles set for each of those regions are specific and will not be able to play games purchased from another region.

Singapore uses the NTSC/J format.

Some games are region free and can be played on a local SG console. Example: Battleship (NTSC), Velvet Assassin (PAL).

Let us know if you need help identifying whether a particular game is region free.
