Xbox live Locked due to Hacker

Hello,

10 days ago my xbox live account was hacked. Immediately I called xbox and told the guy what happened and after not being able to change my password back, he said he would just lock the account until the “investigation team” could verify that it was my account and they should have it back to me within 7 days. However, after my account was locked I managed to change my password back by resetting it through email but my account is still locked. I've tried phoning xbox 4 times now to unlock it but they can't because apparently thats not their department and they can't contact the investigation team?

Is their any way for me to unlock my account?

2. Unauthorized Access Investigations can take up to 30 days to complete. So be patient.

 

3. The only way for your account to get unlocked at this point would be for the investigation to be completed. That will happen when the investigation team is done. So be patient.

 

4. If you don't like how long this is taking be sure to pay close attention to number 1.

You were not "Hacked", you were most likely "Phished" because you probably gave your details away.

If you know your security answers, then you have a chance to recover your account, otherwise you will have to wait upto 30 days as it has already been mentioned.

A tip change the windows live ID to a completely different one after you get it back also don't use the same password ever again on the same account

There is no such thing as being hacked...you were phished. I suggest keeping all your information private/not clicking any bad links and this won't happen again.

Hello OP, the investigation in the account can take up to or more than 30 days. So you have 20 or more days to go. :)

Just be patient and hold in there.

reseting your windows live id password won't help as usually the phisher will change the windows live id anyways

they just change your password to make it harder for you to recover your windows live id
