Turns on but then immediately shuts off?

Does your xbox go to the xbox one screen first?  then turn off after a few seconds?  that's what mine does

No, it doesn't even get that far. Black screen, immediately turns off.

same problem here too. if i unplug the power brick, then plug it back it, it seems to fix the problem...for the time being. hopefully the problem doesn't get worse in time.

Sounds like what mine did. Everything started up fine at first. I even made it to the download, which completed. Afterwards, the XB1 shut off, presumably to reboot, but never came back on. I hit the power button repeatedly and tried every combination of unplugging and plugging back in I could think of. Nada. This was on 11/22. Ended up going to MS and getting bounced around to every internal department they had, before speaking to tech support. After 6+ hours all said and done, it was determined I needed to send mine back, which is what I'm doing.

From what I've seen on the net, if your issue is the same, most likely you'll need to have your unit replaced.

Same problem (in France) two hours trying to update, getting tout 80-81% then displaying "error". After last reboot it won't turn on (makes its sound, starts for two seconds then stops, nothing displayed on TV notre even detected on the input list), tried any combination to start dit... Giving up: i'm sending it back... :-( Really poor quality. I just hope it doesnt come from the power adapter and it won't screw the next one...

Great, just received my replacement console as my first got the disc drive error.  The replacement shuts off after 2 seconds so I can't use it at all! Not only can I not play games but now I can't use it for apps or anything! Useless.  

My xbox does the same thing but only when theres updates, i dont understand why. I press the button , the light comes on then shuts right off like a second later. The only way im able to get it to turn on is to hold the power button and eject button at the same time.

mine is doing the same *** thing.starting to make me mad. 500$ dollars on nothing
