Purchasing Xbox Live Gold

I have just been bought my first Xbox this week and have successfully signed up to the Free account, but trying to buy a Gold account is proving difficult for reasons I am not sure of.

I am currently living in South Korea, and when setting up my Live profile I stated that I was located in Seoul, which sucks now because I get a lot of the options in Korean. I then redeemed by Fifa 11 online pass, and then went on to try and upgrade my account. I was met with a message that said memberships were not available for this game. So I have tried to do it online but get passed on to message in Korean that I translated as "This title is not up yet, you can not sign up".

Can anyone help?

Wish I could help.For some reason my credit card got declined.With all the sponsors  that's on the XBOX dashboard I don't know why they charge to play anyways.Just sounds greedy to me.

Are you getting that message when you try to purchase a gold membership or are you trying to play Fifa 11? If your account region doesn't match your physical location, it can cause some region errors.
