So I had my xbox for a really long time and just now I decided to go and try out xbox live. My buddies told me I can get a one month free trial for gold, but I can't seem to access or find a way to redeem that? Help?

What ngocphi means is you have to create a brand new account on the Xbox 360 console. You will not be get the option for the free month until you've created the account.

Hey there Variable! As mentioned above, this free month is only available when you sign up, so if you have completed that process, you would not be able to get the free month. Also, there are only three free months per console, so once those are gone, it stops offering them. Did other people already create accounts on the console, or was it purchased second hand?
