merge online and offline account

i signed up for a live account online a few  months back not realizing I should have done it from the xbox.  I havee? the live account name that I want to keep... can this be done?

Answer: No, their is no way to merge 2 accounts together. Sorry

Only way to get your name would be to change it. Which would cost you 20$ due to the need to change both tags.

You'll also want to change your tag's email addresses. Which is easy from the Xbox Dashboard.

Change your Xbox.com forum account's email to a different one not in use, then log into your other LIVE account and then change that email to the one you just changed the last account from.

if you signed up for the live account with your own email address then the username set for the email address is transferable to any xbox you wish to sign into via recover gamers tag. hope this helps

Couple of questions because the OP isn't all that clear:

 

1. Is the GT you want to keep the one you're using right now?

 

2. Is the other account mentioned a silver one?

 

3. Is this other account still using the original randomly assigned name or have you changed it to one of your own choosing?
