Make screen resolution smaller

I have a vizio hdtv M190VA and the resoultion is to small for me to read the text while playing my xbox 360. I tried to use the zoom button on the remote but it made the tv funny then I try to change on the xbox under system settings then display but there was nothing I could change to lower then 1280 bx 800 any ideas?

How is your console connected to your TV? The available resolutions depend on your connection, and if it's an HD connection such as VGA or HDMI, your TV will determine available resolutions. :)
