Error code 2503/2502 when trying to install iTunes or update Java.

 

Original Title: Error code 2503/2502.

I had to restore my computer to factory settings, and after I did this I now get error code 2503 and/or 2502 when trying to install iTunes or update Java.

 

I have tried to install by right-clicking the .exe and selecting "Run as administrator."

I have seen other suggestions that say to check Windows Installer, but I have searched for this on the computer and cannot find anything called Windows Installer.


My computer is currently up-to-date with all updates. I am running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.

Are your circumstances the same as the original poster, or are there any new details you can expand on?

 

Do you get the same errors if you create a new user and test with that?
