No sound remote desktop Windows 7

Ideas:

  •  I am using Windows 7 Professional on two computers (one Laptop & one Desktop). When I activate Remote Desktop on the Laptop, having activated sound to "play on this computer", I get no sound from the remote Desktop computer.
  • I have checked the remote Desktop computer and the sounds works locally. I have noted that when on remote the sound goes to "Remote Audio" on the Desktop which is turned up to maximum and cannot find any other settings.
    Also have tried the other way round i.e. making the remote Desktop PC the access Laptop PC with just the same problem, no sound! 
    May I point out that both computers were running XP before and remote desktop with sound was OK. Neither computer has had any hardware change (except RAM upgrade) before or after installing Windows 7 Professional.
    Have tried to Remote the Desktop computer with another Laptop PC using XP with the same result every thing works except the sound.
    Also tried with two other computers, one on XP and the host on Windows 7 with the same result! 
    All actions over a LAN. 
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have done this i.e. "play on remote computer" and still no sound! Also I note the the remote desktop computers, either of them, the screen saver does not work. Prior to installing Windows 7 both had sound and screen saver work on the remote computers. Are there any settings on the host Windows 7 computers?

RDC connections to a remote computer blank the screen on it. How were you getting a screen saver on other computers? All of them blank during RDC.

If you mean other than during RDC, you are seeing a driver problem in the video and sound drivers.
