nVidia graphic card does not show up in device manager, unable to update drivers

Original Title: NVidia graphic card disappeared

Before three weeks ago, I connected my two laptops via network sharing (but it didn't work) . After that my laptop (ASUS X52J with nVidia GeForce 310M) did not respond, it restarted. But with some errors. After that my laptop didn't detect nVidia card (detected only Intel graphic card). I uninstalled my drivers and tried to installed. But it occurred error..

"This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware"

And Device manager also didn't detect the nVidia adapter..what should i do now..Please Help

Do you have a restore point that predates the error? If you do, restore your system back to that point.

Look in C:\Program Files\Nvidia, , IF NVidia drivers were ever installed, you should find it there. If its there look for installer.

I have recovery disks..I'm not sure about that.That will be my last option..I'll try that.

Yes!..

I contacted ASUS  support. They told me to restore default BIOS. Then it's over. Device Manager shows the VGA card and install the card's driver.

( ASUS BIOS setup has no settings for graphic card. )

hi

i received a zotac 780 oc 3 gb . my motherboard is gigabyte z68xp-UD4 . i installed the graphic card and try to install the driver. but graphic driver setup shows that " graphic driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. i have plugged the HDMI cable in graphic card and its working fine. device manager also not showing the graphics hardware other than inbuilt intel video chip. please help. i tried above methods but doesnt work with it . please tell me how uninstall updated bios too in specified motherboard.
