How does this make the power plan  suddenly appear again?  I have the same issue, when I ran the troubleshooter, it came back saying the time before sleep was too long.  Well since I cant change the setting because windows cant find my power plan, it seems to have corrected it.  BUT I cant tell because I cant find my power plan.

Bottom line, issue not resolved.

I am using Build 15063

As to the error messages, I get 2.  When choosing anything on the left side menu, I receive the message 'Your Power Plan information isn't available' preceded by a red X.  When I click 'next' and try to save or modify anything I get a pop up box saying 'Windows can't save some of your changes to its power plan settings.  The system can not find the specified file.'

This all happened after the upgrade to the current build.

Hi Ali,

Most likely, the easiest and most direct way to resolve the issues being experienced on the device would be to do what is called a Repair install (this is actually an in place upgrade installation), this will reinstall Win 10 v.1703, (the best and most reliable way to perform this is by using a pre-downloaded ISO file), and allow you to keep your files, apps, and 3rd party programs. To do so, follow the instructions at the link below.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

If you would prefer instead to try repairing the current installation first you can try following the procedures outlined at this link.

Good luck and let us know how it goes,

It may be too late, I didn't see your question till recently.  I ended up doing a clean repair.  This returned the power settings to their normal state.  My power plan information returned.
