Windows 10 Snap Assist/ Multitasking Not Working

Just upgraded to windows 10 a few days ago and just realized the multitasking function is not working. I can pull up all the apps that are open to view them, but there is no way to click on the title bar to drag to the sides. I can drag the app to either side by just holding on to the middle of the app. If I drag it to the either side and let go, it just gets sent back to the middle and nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I was having the same issue (actually just happened again after an update) and read in another post that it may be due to scaling on smaller screens.  Snap feature was working in desktop mode, but not in tablet mode.  After setting scaling back to 100% rather than 125%, mine suddenly started working again, and I was then able to change back to 125%.

Got to display settings>change the size of text, apps....:  100%

If that works, you should be able to change it back to where you had it before.

For those still running into this problem of not being able to split the screen, I discovered that in my case, with a Windows 10 tablet, the solution was very simple. Go to Setting and make sure the Tablet setting is off. This function does not work with the Tablet setting on.
