Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 - Error 0x800f0246

I upgraded to Windows 10. After some windows updates there was a problem with the graphics driver. I switched to safe mode and deleted the driver. But now I'm not able to reinstall it neither through Microsoft update nor from Intel's website. I have the error  (Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 - Error 0x800f0246) when I try to update the driver. And I have this message if I try to install the driver from other sources (As you can see I have no installed driver)

Hi Suhaib,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

Restart the computer and visit manufacturer website, download and install the display adapter drivers.

If the above step does not fix the issue, perform SFC scan on the computer and check if that helps.

SFC /scannow is a super-useful command you can use in any Windows version. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the /scannow switch, the tool will scan all of the important Windows files on your computer and replace them as necessary.

Try this and let us know the results.

Did the File Checker, still get the error code "Error 0x800f0246".

Can neither install the Video driver by Update (Microsoft) nor AMD.

Cannot get any more updates till this one installed, or at least it appears so.

Hi Diego

I am not sure what was done, it was a while ago and I was trying everything.

I think the solution was to UNINSTALL my antivirus and my anti-malware programs and to turn off Windows Defender.

To give you an understanding as to my confusion as to what eventually worked:

I was also trying to install Windows 10 on my Desktop. 40+ Gbs later I got it installed (I also used some of those Gbs to create 2x Media Creators). An update crashed the system and I am now back to running Windows 7 because  I have not been able to reinstall Windows 10. I was doing everything to the Laptop and to the Desktop to get either one working under Windows 10, hence my confusion as to what actually worked. I am pretty sure it was uninstalling the programs mentioned above.

Good Luck! With my Desktop, I am waiting till Windows 10 becomes more developed before trying again.
