Unable to activate Windows 8.1 (Error code : 0xC004F074) due to KMS Could not be contacted

I purchased samsung laptop 10 months ago in which Windows 8 was pre-installed and they didnt gave any OS CD. Last week I updated to Windows 8.1 and it got updated successfully. But after the update it is asking to activate the windows whenever I login to the system. But when I click on activate windows it is showing  0xC004F074 error code, and showing "KMS Could not be contacted" . Please help me to solve this issue. thanks in advance.

Hi,

Follow these steps to access the Phone activation.

-          Press the “Windows key + R” to open the Run dialog, type “slui.exe 4”, press Enter.

-          Click/tap on the drop down menu, select your country or region to you for a toll free number to call, then click/tap on Next.

-          If prompted by UAC, then click/tap on Yes.

Follow the onscreen directions to complete the phone activation.
