Group Calendar (Your Family) doesn't show up on iPhone native calendar anymore

In the last week (2Sep2020) we used to be able to look at our family calendar on Outlook.com using the native Calendar app on the iPhone.  Suddenly in the last few days, its disappeared on all our phones.  This is how our family keeps track of our things like work, sports, appointments etc. 

I see its there under "Groups" now called "Your family".  All the events are still there.  Under the help it says this:

  • What happened to the old shared family calendar?

    The old version of the calendar was recently retired in an upgrade to a new version that allows users to send invites and works better with the new group and mailbox. All of the events from the old calendar were moved to the new calendar.

****?!?!?  I really hate the Outlook app as it keeps losing our password for our IMAP accounts from our ISP and is hard to use.

There is no way to get this working?  Seems like some form of "vendor lock in".  Very sad.  We will have to find another app/system for our family calendar if this can't work.

Yeah i was so angry about it. I do t see them correcting. 
I ended up creating abother calender on my outlook.com page, then sharing that with edit back to out the family. I then started to create the appointments on the new calendar and systematically delete them from the other. Annoyed but functional again.

Although, honestly, I am now leaning towards migrating my "family events" from Microsoft's "Your family" to Apple's "Family" calendar.  Other members of my family use Apple products so that way we won't have issue of not seeing them in Apple's native calendar. Over last few days I tried to use Outlook Mobile to access "Your family" calendar, but despite of all pros of Outlook Mobile, I can't convince myself that it works better for me than Apple's native calendar app. And for accessing events on PC in the "big" Outlook I will sync all Apple's calendars with Outlook using Apple's "iCloud for Windows" application. 

Sad that I might need to abandon Microsoft's calendaring due to such a stupid (?) reason. I have been using it for more than 10 years...

I cannot believe they would do this, with all their move to family safety and management. 

Oh well.

Moved all my family stuff over to G Suite, where everything has worked for years in the same way. Microsoft will stay in my life because I work for a corporation, but I will not use it at home for productivity and sharing, as I have lost faith in them.

I found out I can't delete the "Your Family" calendar either.  It says to remove everyone from the family and it will automatically be deleted.  Well...  that's nice but my kids are still on xbox and store sharing so that's a no-go.

Sucks.
