Microsoft office deleted after Windows 8 upgrade!

I have a Dell that ran Vista for years, I never upgraded to Windows 7 but upgraded to Windows 8. All of Microsoft Office 2010 is missing.

I did choose the option to keep my personal files etc. My home was destroyed by Sandy and all the Office paperwork and CD are missing.

Is there a way to have it restored?

Thanks

Rosanna

Answer

Hi Rosanna,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. As I understand after you upgraded your computer  from Windows vista to Windows 8 you are unable to see Office 2010 suite. Let me assist you with the issue.

If you did custom installation of Windows 8, you will have to reinstall Office. Office programs have to be installed on the operating system that’s currently running on the computer, so that it can function correctly.

If you had purchased a retail copy of Office and have the product key you may download the setup file for Office 2010 from the  below link to install the program.

If you do not have the disc or lost the product key then you may refer the below link to know to 'How to get a replacement for the lost Product key':

I hope the above information helps. If you need any further assistance reply and we will be glad to assist you.

Thanks.
