With the pressure of my ISP now enforcing a 300 GB limit a month, I am curious as to how the on eguide works, and if it is pulling data. the geek in me wants to say that it uses minimal and mostly "pulls" from the cable box. barring that, how much bandwidth does the Xbox One pull while in idle or just watching TV? - thank you for your time, I look look forward to your thoughts.

It probably does use data. My regular tv guide doesn't have the picture of the show on it. The one guide shows the cover of the show on it.

The answer to your question is yes it does pull data but it only does so about every 24hrs and the data is specific to your TV Lineup that you told the Xbox One you are using. The amount of data usage is negligible especially compared to normal activities like browsing the net and playing games.
