It's clear that neither of the Big 3 Console companies are backing out of the home console business, we're expecting to move on over the next few years.
I'm curious to know what gamers think is going to be the most important feature moving forward.
I'd narrow it down to 2 things...
The first being better graphics & processing power, all the good stuff to make games look more appealing. How much is the hardware going to push the experiences given.
The second would be the Online aspect, the way to connect gamers to each other. This is something that took a huge leap from last gen, to the point where it is basically standard to be online.
I'm more curious to see how playing games online will change less than the graphics/hardware push forward.
We'll see what's up first when Nintendo comes out with their new product, will it have a more robust network to really get players together on Mario Kart as easily as Xbox gamers play Forza? Will Sony take their recent debacle to heart & come back with a Network that is more than a background feature. Will MS make another step forward with the whole gaming community aspect they've been upgrading for years?
