I've heard it has several typos and things like character specific moves listed wrong. Also, I believe it doesn't even reveal Babalities or a lot of other secrets you would expect to be in a strategy guide. This is based on reviews though as I don't own the guide yet myself.

Nope, it's one of the most worthless PoS guides I've ever had the displeasure of cracking open. They couldn't even get all the fatalities right on the "reference cards." There was at least one character who they actually posted the combos for that belong to A DIFFERENT CHARACTER (Lui Kang, I think it was), and some of the button inputs for some combos are incorrect too.

The Kombo thread I wrote on here is more accurate and has more info than a lot of the crap in that half-assed guide. So just save your money and learn all you need off the net. >_>

Any guide that is made by Prima should be avoided at all costs. It's horrible. Tons of typos. No babalitys. Lui Kangs combo section is a total disaster. They put Kano's combos instead. DO NOT BUY THE PRIMA GUIDE!!!

Wow, how can something so poorly done and largely false be allowed to sell?

Well, guide authors CAN to some extent use the excuse that the version of the games they play as they're writing the guides are betas or otherwise not totally final products (which would explain some cases of inaccuracies), but they can't really use that excuse in this particular guide. ALL the errors in the Prima guide are total flub ups on their part. I mean seriously, HOW do you post the combos for the wrong character in another character's section and NOT catch it before going to final print? It's ridiculous.

The guide pissed me off with No Babalities and couldn't provide hints on the 4 hidden fights.

So NO the guides NOT worth it!

Don't buy the guide, but do go to the Prima website where you can download the corrected cards which do include the babalities.  I think you can also request a newly printed set of cards be sent to you as well.

Yeah, I think it goes without saying that if someone is investing in a strategy guide, they're expecting (and deserving) to know EVERYTHING there is to know about the game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting to list EVERY possible combo in the game for every character or anything like that (though frankly, a lot of the combos they listed in this Prima MK guide were an utter JOKE), However, the fact they didn't even so much as MENTION the Babalities exist really left me scratching my head. What's the point of those fatality reference cards if it's not even going to include them? Hell, after reading the guide I didn't even know the Babalities existed until I heard about it online. And I don't want to hear the devs using the excuse "they didn't want to spoil the secret for everyone too soon" or something like that. Like I said, if you're buying a guide in the first place, I doubt you're terribly worried about "spoilers."

They shouldn't have wasted all that time and resources making that laughable "tier chart" they made and instead have focused on giving the players everything they WANTED to know (all the secrets, a more coherent and detailed combo list for the fighters, et cetera). Tier charts are kind of stupid to begin with, because they're constantly changing, and ultimately, individual player skill can make them totally pointless. Kuma has always been considered one of the worst characters in the Tekken games, yet there's people who've WON TOURNAMENTS with him. =P
