Membership card says its not valid

So I bought 1 month live through the xbox. that expired so I went to the store and bought a 3 month card . I tried to redeem it but it says it not valid. I Went back to the store and they said its Activated . I Don't know what to do . PLEASE HELP .

Check to see if you entered your code wrong. If not than the code should be able to be redeemed. Nothing should be wrong with code as long as you scratched it off an didn't give it to anyone

When you purchase a one month it renews monthly until you cancel the membership. If you didn't cancel your subscription but instead it just stopped working then it is likely that your account is suspended for a billing issue. You should contact Xbox Support to double check that the code and account are in good standing.

We didn't give the card to anyone when it was purchased.  My son tried to redeem and I did also.  Had to use another form of payment.  Who is responsiblwe for this?
