I dont think there is much to do at this point.  I would "try" to stay out of modded rooms.  If you get any messages from anyone in the room, I would block comm. with them.  Do not repley to the message cause it will unblock them.

I don't have much experience with xbox 360 or xbox Live, my son is the only one in the house that plays it. I was watching him play Call of Duty - WAW the other night and on every single map, there was a chosen player that was a GOD. Now I assume this is a modded room. How can one tell if a room is modded? Is there a setting simular to the PC version that allows players to exclude all modded rooms? If so, please explain in detail how to do so.

Modded rooms and cheats aren't allowed period on either console and you're not allowed to use cheats in VAC/punkbuster protected rooms on the PC.

There's no hard and fast rules for knowing if you're in a modded room but generally the hackers are arrogant enough to make it blatantly obvious they are using cheats. If your son suspects he's in a modded room advise him to dashboard immediately, file complaints against people he suspects were using cheats and set them to avoid so he doesn't end up in the same game as them again.

I agree with VernierSlake but 1 thing even setting them to avopid player does'nt work because I've come up against loads of gamers that I've set to avoid (halo 3 mainley) I still end up in a game lobby with them then I get avoid player on me for leaving which makes me ratty

What's worse? A bit of negative feedback that no one is likely to see or having to play with cheats?

having to play with cheats obviosley but it just irratates me when people avoid player without a good reason for doing so is all. the one avoid player option I avoid is for leaving the game, because their are many reasons for someone leaving I've had a power cut in the middle of playing as well as my electric meter running out of electric & I had to switch on the emergency. There are many reasons for it, like the game randomley kicking you from the lobby on gears of war 2 it's just one of those options that abused just as much as the boot player option on halo
