Wrong Country. Help!

During my initial sign up for Xbox Live, I accidentally pressed Ok without realizing that the country was wrong. It was parked on USA, but I actually live in Canada. Now, I cannot redeem my Xbox Live code because I am clearly not in my own Country. I'm having a hard time trying to find where I could change it. Does that mean I have to make a new account or is there a simpler ya? Help, I'm a newb. 

Once set a region of an account cannot be changed you will have to create a new account

If I am correct, you can migrate your account.

The account migration tool is not available for all countries. It's only available for the 9 newly added countries to Live. It is not available to change your region in the US and Canada.

And support will not change your country for you with after using the migration tool it's a one time use only and only to the 9 new regions
