I purchased the Halo Reach Console back in Nov 2010 and had to have it repaied due to the disc componet being off track. I shipped it out and they fixed it and returned it, Very happy!
Then this month, I went to play a game and it said the disc was loading and then it would go to Open Tray...I tried numerous discs and it said all the same thing, So I made a repair ticket and sent it out on 7/14/11. I get notified on 7/21/11 that they received it and then I get a email on 7/22/11 that the console was being sent back to me not fixed due to as they call it "external tampering".
I have no idea what that is so I called customer service and was told, when I get the console back to take a picture and reply to the email he would sent me and it will go from there. Well, I couple hrs later I get no email and so I call back and get this other guy who said, the techs know what they are doing and basically there is nothing I can do. I ask for a supervisor and explained everything to her, she explained what external tampering was and I know without a doubt that there was no external tampering and told her that the only time the system was worked on was back in November when I had it shipped to them and I paid $400 for the system and had to send it in 2x already and it isnt a year old yet!
I was told she will call me back Saturday before 7pm...We will see. I looked online and heard other stories about my same situation...I am frustrated because I know I didnt do anything at all but I am getting accused of it. ....It is under warranty so why in the world would I do anything to it?
Anyone have any suggestions for me on what to do because It isnt fair that they accuse me of tampering when I didnt do anything at all. I just cannot go out and buy another system so that isnt a option......
