Mass Effect 3

Seeing as there hasn't been one yet, I thought I'd make the first Mass Effect 3 thread of the new forums!

 

What are you guys looking forward to most in the next Mass Effect? I personally can't wait to see how the story pans out as it's the main reason why I play the Mass Effect games, I'm a sucker for sci-fi and it excels in that respect. Also, would you prefer the game to keep the more action oriented approach of Mass Effect 2 with less emphasis on the RPG side of things, or would you prefer a more Mass Effect 1 esque style of game?

 

Personally, I'd like them to go even further than Mass Effect 1 and make a really deep RPG with tons of stats, item drops, character customization etc. But in saying that, I was perfectly happy with Mass Effect 2 and wouldn't mind the smoother TPS gameplay staying. Perhaps some of you want an even more action oriented approach, if so then what would you like to see added/changed/etc to make it that way?

As long as they keep the dialogue, I'll be happy. I enjoyed ME1 almost as much as ME2 - but if they can avoid those damned elevators again, then they can have as many or as few RPG elements as they like.

I love both ME1 & ME2.

ME1 I found set the story better and ME2 had the better game play. I'm not a RPG kind of guy but this has brought me into a new world.

I just cant wait to send those reapers back where they came from. I really hope I get to play with Wrex in the next one.

Less travel here and complete this quest so X will join you but more open choice sabout who you want and how you involve them.

I've enjoyed the storyline of both games so far, so as long as they make another strong story to wrap up the trilogy then i'll be happy.

I've got 3 or 4 endings of ME2 still on my HDD so i'm interested to see how the story pans out with regards to those loose threads.

Do you prefer the loading screens? Nothing is ideal while you have to wait for loading, but at least with the elevators you didnt get your immersion broken. You got interesting little tit bits of party banter. I say bring them back, and am sure they will..

Id like to see somewhere in between the two. Make it more like KOTOR too. Ie the planets are big and distinct not just clones of the same corridor.
