Lost over 80 gbs on hard drive.

I was playing a game,and we still had all our saves,etc.But as soon as I went to the Xbox Dashboard,everything was gone.Could anyone please help?

shut the xbox off take the hard drive out start it up. Then put it back in.

Tried that and it didn't work.  It says that it is unformatted.

Hi there.

 

Unfortunately it sounds as if your hard drive/the information on the hard drive has become damaged or corrupted. If the console is showing the hard drive as being 'unformatted' then you will need to reformat it to try and fix the problem. Simply hit Y on your controller and select "Format Hard drive", you will also need the console's serial number which can be found via "System settings" and then "System Info".

 

If reformatting the hard drive does not work then contact the xbox support line to see if they can send you a replacement. You can also review the troubleshooting advice here on the xbox.com support pages: Troubleshooting hard drive issues

This really,really sucks,as we have at least hundreds of hours on the Forza Motorsport games.Unfortunately we'll probably have to do that.Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Sounds like you got a corrupted drive you'll have to reformat I'm afraid and download again
