Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 9879 Not Recognized extra HDD after sleep

After my system enters sleep mode Windows fails to recognize my storage drive (3TB Toshiba HDD)  I have verified that the drive has clean SMART status and is recognized by my motherboard.  I've also changed SATA ports and SATA cables to rule out a bad connection there.  I've also swapped power connectors for the drive to no avail.  It appears to be an issue with sleep because after restart the drive always appears.  I've checked BIOS and the drive is found there and it appears to be limited to only the one drive.  I can't confirm why it is that drive as I've switched it with all of my other drives and have had the same issue but I have not had this issue when using the same drive under a Linux system (Debian Wheezy and Ubuntu 13.04).  Anyone have any guesses on what's the issue and how to resolve it without turning off sleep mode?

Go into your power options and look for PCI Express and Hard disk.

change the settings to "Off" and "Never" if these options are available.

There have been problems reported using sleep but this might be a work-around.

Please let me know the results.
