Any suggestion on what I should do? The screen is changing colour but the hard drive doesn't seem to be reading or writing.

Stuck on almost ready screen...
I've downloaded the windows 8 software and it looks like it all installed fine as far as I can see. No failed install or anything, I went through the set up and done my wireless etc and its now on the almost ready screen, its been like this for a couple
of hours now and I haven't actually used the software yet. I used the upgrade assistant and downloaded the software.

Managed to solve this problem. Done a hard shut down and unplugged everything apart from the mouse. Booted up perfectly after that

i did the exact same thing unplugged everything else. and just did a hard shut down. Perfect Boot

2 years later and still doing it? What are Microsoft doing? No wait, they've abandoned Windows 8 because they realised how buggy to f**k it is and are working on Windows 9 instead. It's like Windows Vista all over again! Pathetic!
