"system thread exception not handled" on windows 8 when connecting usb modem Huawei E367

My computer (Windows 8) is running fine even if I insert my Huawei modem E367. But as soon as I press the connect to the internet button it gives met a blue screen with the error "system thread exception not handled"

1) Have you made any changes on the computer prior to this issue?

 

I see that "usb modem Huawei E367" is not compatible with Windows 8 Operating System. So, I would suggest you to install the drivers in Windows 7 Compatibility mode and check if the issue persists.

I'm also having the same problem with huawei E173 , adn i do it as you suggest but when i connected to the internet the blue screen appears. running on windows 8 too.

Solution to this blue screen:-
just download the latest version of huawei mobile partner and simply install it instead of the one that you got with the modem but again a problem arises... that is when you'll plug out the modem from the port then the cd drive that contains the modem's installation file will not be ejected, device will show error in device manager and if you try to shut down the pc or restart it then the commands will work but the system will not shut down or restart.
you'll have toh shut down it forcefully...
