Asus x401A Laptop Multi touch gestures no longer work after upgrading to windows 8

After upgrading my Asus x401A Laptop to windows 8, my multi-touch pad only works for singleleft and right click gestures. This has taken away quite a few features of the whole windows 8 experience for me. Is there a driver fix for this on its way out?

Hi Jonathan111889,

After installing Windows 8, multi touch gestures no longer work.

As per the Windows 8 compatibility center, we do not have any information regarding this model of computer.

I would suggest you to add the computer model to the compatibility center and also leave your feedback.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8/CompatCenter/ProductViewerWithDefaultFilters?TempOsid=win8&Locale=en-us&TextSearch=Asus%2Bx401A&Type=Both&CurrentPage=0&TotalPages=1&ShowCriteria=0&SortCriteria=Relevance&Compatibility=Unknown&LastRequested=14

You may also contact the computer manufacturer for assistance with regards to updated drivers.

Hope this helps.

I had same problem. I went to Asus support page for my model and downloaded the touchpad drivers under the windows 8 os. I then deleted current driver as instructed, then installed new drivers. Now the touchpad works as before.
