Hi,

Do you see the Powershell in Programs and Features in Installed updates?

If you see that installed in there then, follow the steps mentioned below.

Method 1:

Try to remove it from Installed Updates:

a.       Click on “Control Panel” in “Start menu”

b.      Go to “Uninstall a program” in “Control Panel”

c.       Click on “View installed updates” in “Programs and Features”

d.      Right click on Update which reads Powershell and uninstall it.

Method 2:

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following link.

You can delete it from the Registry. Follow step 1 mentioned below.

a.       Click on Start menu and type Regedit.exe in the start search box and press Enter.

b.      Navigate to the following location.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Powershell\1\Install

c.       Delete Install entry

Note: If you don’t have permissions to delete it from the registry then, try giving full permissions to the Powershell folder and then try to delete it.

Follow step 2 mentioned below to give permissions to the folder.

Step 2:

a.       Right click on the Powershell folder and click on Permissions.

b.      Click on full control check box and then click on Apply and OK.

c.       Try to delete the folder and check.
