network security key

I need to know where to locate the security key. I have had problems with my network set up, I am almost there but am unable to locate my network security key. Would you be able to tell me where on Windows 7, the host computer that this is located?

Hi Mammy3,

While installing windows 7 during the installation process you will get a key which is generated automatically when Windows detects the network and tries to connect to the network.

Are you referring to that network key?

The Set Up a Network wizard will guide you through setting up a security key.

· Open Set Up a Network by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and Sharing Center, click Set up a new connection or network, and then click Set up a new network.
