Hi,

By default the Public Desktop folder is hidden in Windows 7. Let us cross check that by unhiding the hidden folders.
Here is how:
Step1.
1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Folder options.
2. Click on view tab and under the option hidden files and folders choose Show hidden files, folders,or drive.
3. Click Apply and then Ok.
4. Now check if you have the public desktop folder.

Step 2.
To unhide this folder permanently perform the steps below:
1. Right click on the folder.
2. Remove the hidden attribute.
3. Click Apply and then ok.
Note: Make sure that you hide the hidden folders as we did in the step 1. This will not hide the dektop folder again.

Hope this helps.
