Blurry text in Windows 10

Hi there,

I have a big problem with  blurry text in Windows 10.

I have found that many other people have complaints  about blurry text in this version of Windows.

I have bought a new monitor, BENQ GW 2255 with full hd resolution, and  expect text to be crystal clear in this new version of Windows as it is most important for reading, and my eyes, but that's not the case, text in this version is disaster.

I have also tried a few tricks, that I have found on internet, disabling dpi scaling, some dpi scaling fixes etc. but it didn't work.
Would you be so kind to reconsider this problem in your future updates, and to find some nice solution for blurry text problem in Windows 10?

Apart of this, I do not have any other complaints, and I've been very satisfied with new Windows 10.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Osvit,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

I appreciate you for providing details about the issue and your effort towards resolving it.

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to follow the below steps to run the Cleartype text.

  1. Type cleartype text in the search bar and click on the Adjust Cleartype text.

  2. Check mark on the Turn on Cleartype.

  3. Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I would suggest you to manually update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager.

Please refer to the following Wiki article created by Andre Da Costa on How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If the issue still persists then, I would recommend you to download and install the latest video card driver in compatibility mode from the manufacturer and check if it works.

Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance with Windows. We are glad to assist you.

Thank you.

Actually,  if I don't find a solution for this problem, I will return back to Windows 8.1, as  this blury text is very anyoing for me.

I think that Microsoft shouldn't offer unfinished products, beacause nobody want to have blurry letters in control panel, apps etc.

Thanks for your help.

I too have BENQ GW 2255 and NO problem what so ever. Crystal clear text and pictures with GeForce GT 610 display driver and 1920x1080 (recommended) resolution. Sorry I can not be of any help to you. Just wanted everybody to know that BENQ GW 2255 actually works very well with Windows 10.  At least I am very happy with the combination.
