Can I use Windows defender and Norton same time?

Can I use Windows defender and Norton together?

Yes you can run them together but it is not necessary.
If you have the paid version of Norton then just run that.
To disable Defender go to Services and Windows Defender to Disable and stop the service.
If you do not then use Defender and uninstall Norton.
I use Defender on all my machines exclusively.

Hi Park,

Generally when you install a good 3rd party app like Norton's it will disable Defender itself . . .

The reason being is there is no need to run both, in fact they will fight each other for control and it is best not to run both!

You are protected with either app and running both really does not serve a purpose!

Norton will disable Windows Defender but you can allow WD to run periodic scan however Norton will give you a warning about it.

Be very cautious about installing anything by Symantec. They were forced to sell their digital certificate to Digicert because of their poor practices as a Certificate Authority. I have no doubt that laxity extends to their other products as well.
