Lets try to reset Onedrive

1. Press the Windows key + R.
In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

After 2 or 3 minutes OneDrive should start by itself, sometimes does not open.

In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

Hope it works

Hi John. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Consider now or later doing the Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible install that will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

There is also an automated Refresh that reinstalls WIndows while shedding corrupting factory bloatware, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest: https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Lets try to completely uninstall OneDrive:
1. Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode: Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and select Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Type in taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe to terminate any OneDrive processes and hit Enter.
Then type in either %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 64-bit Windows 10 and hit Enter.

After that Go to RegEdit on this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive
You can remove all folders that include One Drive version
Account folders also can be removed
After that restart the pc and install One Drive again

I appreciate your help.  It did not seem to work.  Later I was on my Android Tablet where I share One Drive and noticed several of the entries I retrieved acted differently on the PC and the Android.  I did sfc /scannow and found some corrupt errors but I did not understand the log but I don't think they were about One Drive.  I then did DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it came back clean.   I removed everything from One Drive and even then when I open it I get the error.  I am assuming this is like the ETL logging errors I get when the ETL log fills up to 20MB and ETL logging stops, it is not worth worrying about.  Two techs dialed into to fix that and the errors occur every day.  One even did a system refresh. Microsoft called and said to just ignore it for now.  I think this One Drive error is probably the same.

thank you

Hi John. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

If you have System Files that are damaged which will not repair after running SFC three times, then do the Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool from this link choosing Download Tool Now, install the tool, open it and choose Upgrade this PC Now. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

I ran the sfc /scannow tool twice.  The first time it corrected the corrupt files or so it said.  The 2nd time it found no corrupt files.  Then I ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it said everything was fine.  I removed everything from One Drive when I found differences between my PC and Tablet.  I'm  99% convinced the problem is the Android Tablet that is causing the difference, but I just wanted to see what would happen if One Drive had no files.  With an empty One Drive except for recycle bin, I still get the error.  Again, it is no big deal.  So I am going to just not try to correct it.  Otherwise my PC is running fine except for this and the ETL error.  I am afraid of making things worse.  Thanks for all of your time and suggestions.

What if you reset the android tablet and make a test with some files in onedrive after the reset to see if you still get same error.
