Windows 10 creators update - Edge browser - Unable to access Facebook.com

I just updated my computer with the creators update and I am now unable to get to Facebook.com with the Edge browser.  I can access every other site I normally browse too, just not Facebook.

Here is the error message:

There was a temporary DNS error. Try refreshing the page.

Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND

When I check my DNS resolution via nslookup, I get back the proper IP address for facebook.com and I can ping the address.

I am successfully able to get to facebook.com in Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

When I run the Fiddler tool to troubleshoot the problem in Edge, access to Facebook magically works.  As soon as I turn Fiddler off I am no longer able to access Facebook again.

Any thoughts?

Answer

I have just experienced the same problem. After running a Kaspersky scan, decided to run a vulnerablilty scan. Lo and behold, Java was out of date. Installed Java update, removed old Java, did a restart, Edge now works!
