I have an ISO image of a DVD on a flash drive, and I have two Windows tablets: A Dell Venue 8 Pro, and a Microsoft Surface 3 Pro. When I plug the flash drive into the Dell and double-click the ISO file, it mounts. When I do the same on the Surface, I get an error message: "Sorry, there was a problem mounting the file." The funny thing is that the ISO file actually mounts and works fine in spite of the error message. Both tablets have all updates applied. The only obvious difference is that one is a 32-bit operating system and the other 64-bit.
It's just an annoyance, but I'd like to fix it.
Things I have tried:
- Verified that File Explorer is the default program for opening ISO files
- Copied the ISO file to the internal C: drive
- Looking for errors in the Event Log (nothing found)
