Hotmail.com Inbox

I have had my Hotmail.com account for many years and I use it regularly, almost daily.

This morning when I turned on the inbox was empty with a message saying the inbox had been cleared.

Where have my e-mails gone, why has the inbox been cleared and how do I get my messages back?

Hi There, has the emails only dissapeared from your outlook or has it been cleared at the server side as well by hotmail?

And how was your emails set up as, as POP or as IMAP?
