Word 2013 Error - "Operation aborted: max-element-depth constraint violated"

I have a document that gives me this error every time I open it in word 2013:

If I press okay, it does a recovery, and then I save the recovered version. Every time I open the recovered version in 2013, I get the same error. If I open it in word 2010, I don't get any error.

To make it even more confusing, when I open the document on one computer using the word 2013 office 365 trial, only the first 7 pages will show (of a 54 page document). If I open it using the full version of word 2013 (but not 365), I still get the error, but all the pages show.

Any ideas how I can get rid of the error?
