Dual time zone display for tasks in Project 2010

I am looking to see if it is possible to display a secondary set of start and finish times which are based off the primary start/finish, but show the time as it would be in a different time zone.  I am assuming this could be done by either setting a different time zone for the secondary set, or possibly by adding a [time +12.5hr] type calculation to that field.  So far internet searches and our internal product support teams have been useless.

Basically I'm building a schedule in PST timing but half my project team is working IST hours so I want to display things in their timing too.

First, I have some bad news for you.  What you want to do is possible, but all times in Microsoft Project 2010 are displayed local time.  This means that if a task starts tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, that means 8:00 AM in your own time zone.

The good news is that you can create the time zone offsets using two custom Date fields.  Before you create the custom fields, you will need to click File > Options and set the Date Format option to 1/28/09 12:33 PM and click the OK button to display both dates AND times in any date field.

To create the custom fields, click Project > Custom Fields.  Click the Type pick list in the upper right corner and select the Date item.  Select the Date1 field, click the Rename button, name the field something like IST Start, and then click the OK button.  Select the Date2 field, click the Rename button, name the field something like IST Finish, and then click the OK button.

Select the Date1 field and click the Formula button.  Paste the following formula into the Formula dialog and then click the OK button:

ProjDateAdd([Start],"12.5h","24 Hours")

Click the OK button to confirm that the field will use the formula you just entered.  In the Calculation for Task and Group Summary Rows section for the Date1 field, select the Use Formula option.

Next, select the Date2 field and click the Formula button.  Paste the following formula into the Formula dialog and then click the OK button:

ProjDateAdd([Start],"12.5h","24 Hours")

Click the OK button to confirm that the field will use the formula you just entered.  In the Calculation for Task and Group Summary Rows section for the Date2 field, select the Use Formula option.

Click the OK button to close the Custom Fields dialog.  Insert the two new date columns in any task table, such as the Entry table.  You will see the dates and times expressed using the time in your own time zone.  For example, if you see a date and time of 8/4/14 8:00 AM in the Start column, you will see the date and time as 8/5/15 8:30 PM in the IST Start field.  This means your team members in the IST time zone will be starting the task when it is 8/4/14 8:00 AM in the PST.
