Getting the Error: “An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com. The peer is unreachable.” when trying to synchronize the time with the "time.windows.com

Help!

I just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and my timesone is giving me wrong time and date, I followed these steps to try to fix it:

1)Go to desktop by clicking on the desktop tile in metro UI.
2) Click on the time in the lower right corner.
3) Click "change date and time settings".
4) Click on "Internet time" tab.
5) Then click "change settings" and sync with time.windows.com.

These don't change anything. Tried it several times and the message I always get is:

An error occured while Windows was synchronising with time.windows.com. The peer is unreachable.

I have tried to restart my computer after doing this but no changes.. Does anyone know how to fix this problem so I can get my time and date in order?

But I followed Rajesh Govind steps and it didn't fix the problem! (find his reply)

then I did it again but before you do step 6 ...

5.1 - click on Log On tab

5.2 - select local system account (if not already selected)

5.3 - and check the box for Allow service to interact with desktop

6 - now do step 6 of Rajesh Govind reply
