A couple of things to note:
DISCLAIMER : This list is not my personal list of wanted features, nor do I personally agree with every request listed here. My role here is to simply compile an easy-to-read list of popular feature the users of the WP7 forum would like to see in future updates.
And here's the list! Bold/Italic means my own clarification or interpretation of the requested feature. I often make references to competitor's products, so approve/blast of my thoughts!

Instead of forcing customer to use "the cloud" when will we be able to use local storage for these and other files?
Also when will we be able to simple place the files on the phone using the USB cable that came with the phone again i should not be forced to use the cloud?
I bought this phone because i did not like the limitations of the IPhone, now i have to deal with another set of limitations that did not exist on previous Microsoft mobile platforms this is frustrating?
Instead of forcing customer to use "the cloud" when will we be able to use local storage for these and other files? I bought this phone because i did not like the limitations of the Iphone, now i have to deal with another set of limitations.Same here. Cloud is one thing, but the phone shall also authorize local storage for usual documents/office documents. Hope a solution will be found soon, because at this stage WP7 is even more closed and locked than iPhone. I can't stand it.
I've started building a list of items that disappoint me with this first release of WP7, but wanted to ask people here what they thought about the lack of Tasks and free/busy searches when adding attendees to meetings. I thought those were going to be standard since this is a MS phone syncing with Exchange. Does anyone know if they'll be added in a future release?
Other items are:
1. Lack of device/SD card encryption
2. Flash support
3. Cut/paste
4. 3rd party app multitasking
5. No native VPN client
Thanks,
John
First of all, I truly enjoy using the Windows Phone 7, especially with my Zune Pass and Wireless Sync!! The Email listing is great as well with the quick ability to sort by unread, urgent, and flagged.
This is not a post of problems or critisism, but ideas for future features and improvements:
>Ability to set remeinders from message list
>Ability to reduce font size and/or spacing of email message list to fit more on the screen (for those of us with 200+ message days)
>Option to set default calendar, and IT policy to prevent personal calendar integration with Outlook
>Seperate volume controls for Earpiece, Music, Bluetooth Audio, Ringer, Alarms, Alerts
>Place call when locked (perhaps I missed an option for this or voice command when locked)
>RSS Feed integration
>Clock display when charging (alarm clock mode)
>Music Ringtones
>Additional Background options (patterns, but nothing too busy)
>Remote Desktop
>Microsoft Points as payment for songs after Zune credits expire (perhaps a bug)
>VPN
Long shot ideas:
>DLNA for all models (not just LG)
>Media Center / Extender Remote
>WHS Connector for internet sync (and/or Zune on WHS)
>Video and music streaming from WHS
>Email integration with SYNC car systems
>Song data when streaming bluetooth media to SYNC car system and other bluetooth car systems
hi,
you can place calls when locked, as long as you are connected to a bluetooth headset. just keep pressing the answer button of your headset for a few seconds to start the voice recognition.
with my jabra cruise this works pretty well - only the audio qulity sucks :-)
Yesterday I've got a HTC Trophy.
First This OS is really cool and welldesigned. As an iphone (old) user Windows gonna rules.
Ringtones are amazing. Smothness is amazing. Market Place needs time I know...Its ok...
Now bad things...Verry...
1. No Flash support. What are you? Steve Jobs supporter???
2. Bluetooth file transfer? What are you? Steve Jobs supporter???
3. Ext Hard drive? What are you? Steve Jobs supporter???
4. When I run a movie and want to use volume button, BANG! Phone volume down at the same time...There is no media volume toggle..
5. About contacts...Must be an option "only show persons with number"
6. Freezing a lot...Especially on market place while scrolling...
7. It would be very nice if we see numeric battery some how...
8. Status bar side can let us to control wifi-3g-2g ext...
9. Copy Past???
10. Background color can be more than 2 options. It s easy...
anddd....
11. WHY THERE IS NO MULTI LANGUAGE, ESPECIALLY TURKISH???
I think those were no questions but I really wanted to help you for better. Please dont make me turn to Android or iphone again, cuz you are doing very gooood job... :)
Best regards..
Peace from Istanbul
Like most people, I want my ringer sound to be loud so that I can hear it.
I'd also like feedback when tapping keys when typing, but that sound should be soft so that I get feedback and not make other people around think there's someone chopping wood.
The volume of Zune would be somewhere in the middle, so that I can enjoy my music while not damaging my ears.
So keeping the same sound level for all sounds all over the phone is very non-intuitive. Any plan to address this soon? Or something I can do to set different sound levels for different purposes?
At first I found Windows Phone 7 and my HTC Trophy very impressive but a few things are making me fall rapidly out of love with it. Call them bugs, flaws, omissions - whatever you call them, they're disappointing:
1) The Calendar function won't fully sync with my Google Calendar account. It's synced only four events out of dozens, and quite a random four, too. Nothing I've tried fixes this.
2) I can't turn the camera-shutter sound off. Even with the phone on silent, it still sounds.
3) Ringtones individually assigned to different contacts don't work - it's always the default ringtone that rings, whoever calls.
4) Deleting the 'Personal (Web)' folder from SkyDrive (which WP7 places there during the first sync) renders OneNote on the phone unusable, in terms of syncing with OneNote on my PC. (To be fair, there is a warning in the relevant Help section onlinenot to delete the 'Personal (Web)' file, but that's no use if you've already deleted it, oblivious to its importance. You're only likely to consult the Help section once you've deleted it and experienced problems, so a warning at the time deletion is attempted would be much more useful.) This action can't be undone, seemingly, so now I'm left without an important function of the phone - possibly forever!
5) Can't play YouTube videos embedded in Facebook.
6) Can't rotate photos.
7) Can't seem to get a 3G signal anywhere that I used to be able to. Probably not a WP7 issue but thought I'd throw it in there anyway. Stuck on GPRS, having a smartphone seems fairly pointless in most regards.
I'm sure this list will get added to in time - after all, I've only had the phone for four days. WP7 is beautiful, but good design isn't just beauty; it's functionality too, and there's a lot lacking on that front at the moment.
