HTC HD7 Screen Tearing Issue

Hi,

On my 2nd HD7 since Thursday, first had data issues, but the 2nd is exhibiting screen tearing on the Start Screen (and the Apps List) similar to you moving the TV ariel is the best way to describe it. The 1st one did the same thing but along with the data issue I put it down to a faulty handset. I have had to reboot the phone to fix. Strangely it did not appear to affect the Lock screen

My HTC Magic and Nexus One had issues, damn even my Pre but none of them needed a reboot after 2 days due to display corruption.

Now is this  due to Software (which I would like to think) or a hardware issue which I doubt as the Lock screen was not affected. I don't want a phone I need to reboot every couple of days, I left that behind with WinMo 6.X.

I know its a new OS but atleast it needs to be stable.

Barry

I see the word "replaced" being used in some earlier messages in this thread. So that sets my expectation that like the others your phone will be replaced.

OK this issue appears to be affecting other HTC handsets http://wmpoweruser.com/windows-phone-7-some-issues-and-problems-slipped-through/#idc-container so I am not alone, so far a reboot has resolved it, for now.

I am having exactly the same issue, it is happening multiples times a day now at completely random times. Everything just scrambles up and the only way out is to reboot.

This seems more like a hardware issue since it is only happening to HTC HD7 (as well as other mentioned issues on the forum) and no other models/brands. Wait, I thought there were thousands of tests and millions of tests run before RTM. Well, so much for that.

Not necessarily as I mentioned it didn't affect the lock screen and if you looked at the 2nd post I believe that is an HTC Trophy displaying the same issues. We are the millions of test :)

That is the funniest thing. Yes, you are right, which is why the US release is delayed because the tech industry will eat MS alive with all this nonsense by publishing all these erratic behaviors and tons of missing featyres covered up all this while on the OS. Its a huge shame.
