I've recently been provided a Motorola Q 9h on AT&T. It came with both IE and Opera. However Opera is set as the default browser. I would like to change the default browser to IE. How can that be accomplished?
Hey Linley, any word on this? Kinda embarrassing that I can't make IE the default browser on a Windows operating system.

Try the following at your own risk:
Download a a registry editor if you do not have one. PHM Registry Editor is available free at www.phm.lu
Change the value for:
Hkey_Classes_root\htmlfile\DefaultIcon to iexplore.exe,-1003.
Hkey_Classes_root\htmlfile\Shell\Open\Command to iexplore.exe file:%1
Repeat the steps above for the HTTP and HTTPS key.
Let me know if this works.
That's not it, but I FOUND IT!!!!!
HKCU/ControlPanel/Keybd/APP3_Path
change it from OperaLaunch.exe to iexplore.exe
It's that easy! And all the other application keys are in that same area under Keybd! Woohoo!
Awesome!
I don't have that key on my device. Must be specific to yours.
I meant to ask you this: Why do you want to make IE the default, while Opera is so much better? You are extremely lucky to have it pre-loaded on your device. I had to buy it.
Opera hangs constantly. IE works.
